The Family Behind the Company
Kile Construction is a family-owned general contractor serving Coeur d'Alene, Dalton Gardens, Post Falls, Hayden, and the surrounding communities of Northern Idaho. Founded by Norm Kile in 1976, we've been building and remodeling homes in this area for nearly 50 years.
We started out doing larger remodeling projects—kitchens, bathrooms, additions—and still do. But we've expanded to also offer handyman services, smart home installation, security camera systems, and home networking. Whether it's a complete kitchen gut or hanging a door, we bring the same craftsmanship and attention to detail to every job.
We are fully licensed (Idaho RCE-34546), bonded, and insured. Our decades of experience mean we know what styles sell in the Coeur d'Alene market, what features add value, and how to navigate local building codes and permitting so you don't have to.
Norm Kile
Founder
Norm Kile has been working in construction since he was 16 years old—that's nearly 50 years of hands-on experience. He started Kile Construction in Coeur d'Alene and has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and reliability.
Norm is an expert in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, home additions, exterior work, and finish carpentry. He's super professional, incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and easy to work with. He owns three tile saws and can handle anything from a custom backsplash to a complete home renovation.
In recent years, Norm has focused on smaller projects and handyman work while still taking on select larger remodeling jobs. He works within a 5-mile radius of Coeur d'Alene and is known throughout the community for his honest, no-nonsense approach to construction.
Chuck Kile
Co-Founder
Chuck Kile grew up working alongside his father on construction sites across Northern Idaho. He brings a combination of hands-on construction experience and technical expertise to Kile Construction.
Chuck handles the technology side of the business, including smart home installations, security camera systems, home networking, and the company's digital presence. His unique blend of construction knowledge and tech skills makes Kile Construction one of the few contractors in the area that can handle both traditional remodeling and modern smart home upgrades.
Chuck is also the founder of Adapt Digital Solutions, a digital marketing agency based in the Coeur d'Alene area.
